Veterinary Assistant
Hanna has spent her life surrounded by animals, with a deep-rooted passion that began in childhood through horse ownership. Her early experiences caring for horses sparked a lifelong love for animals and veterinary medicine. She began working at a local feed store at a young age, gaining hands-on experience that eventually led her to a full-time career training American Quarter Horses—showing, competing, and developing her horsemanship skills.
Her journey continued as she took on the role of cattle ranch manager, where she also served as a veterinary assistant for the ranch owner. This dual role deepened her knowledge of large and small animal care along with ranch management. She later began training wild mustangs for the Bureau of Land Management, preparing them for adoption and helping find them homes beyond government holding facilities. Over the years, Hanna expanded her skills into equine dentistry, offering essential care and maintenance for horse health and performance she continues to do so when she isn’t working with small animals.
Now based in San Diego, Hanna is reconnecting with her original passion—veterinary medicine—bringing with her a wealth of experience in animal care, training, and large/small animal health.
